Star SA-30 Integrated Tube / Valve amplifier.
This is a small 1960s Japanese Made Valve amplifier. I had one of these many decades ago - my first valve amp. Super sweet sounding with all tube MM phono stage. I think about 12w per channel. I bought this particular amp as a spare amplifier many years ago, and it was used occasionally . This runs 3 12ax7s and 4 6GW8s. It is meant to run a 5AR4 rectifier. The preamp tubes and power amp tubes are all Japanese.
This has been in storage and I have not fired it up for more than a year - I am reluctant to power it up now. I recall one channel was a bit intermittent, which could have been the volume control, though could have been something else. As you can see there has been some work done on it in the past, and there are notes suggesting that a 5AS4 has been installed (I can't tell from the tube itself what rectifier is in there).
Sold strictly as is for parts or restoration. Those in the know will know that the tubes themselves (and the OPTs) are likely worth more than the list price. Pick up only in Homebush West NSW.
