Sonus Faber Guarneri Palladio with factory stands & Vicenza stone bases. The Palladio were a limited edition of the Guarneri Memento with a natural maple finish & palladium details – binding posts & wiring. These are very rare as only 100 were produced – this pair are 09 out the 100. I have the original 3 boxes for shipping (speakers, stands, & bases all in separate boxes), owner’s manual, covers, & leather conditioner. Original retail price was $29,000 NZD and current Guarneri 5 retail for $44,500 NZD.
They are in very good condition with the only blemishes being some minor marks on the leather in several places (I can provide closeup photos). These are not noticeable unless up close & only with the grills off. The drivers were replaced in 2018 due to damage to the rubber surround on one of them (cause unknown). At Sonus Faber's advice both drivers were replaced with a new pair sourced from Sonus Faber & installed by the NZ agent as an insurance claim (I have the receipt for the work done). The grills were restrung at the same time.
I have used them with an Audio Research Reference 110 amp & more recently with a Reference 75SE, both with great results. Amazing speakers which I am very sad to part with having owned them for approximately 10 years & they have given me many hours of enjoyment. Of the 10 years, they were in storage for approximately 5 years due to setup limitations.
