Getting rare, MOV, British Made
6X5G CV572 EZ35 Rectifier Valve Tube
Black Offset Plates, Foil Getter
Fully Tested on AVO VCM 163
73/74
Purchased just before Xmas and a great sounding tube in my DAC, however I cannot screw the top panel on and don't want the cat and dust potentially getting into the DAC.
It was a direct replacement for a 6X5 GT.
Can demo in DAC for locals and happy to ship at agreed cost.
Price is firm as happy to keep as a spare or eventually modify top cover.

No relevant user reviews or community discussions were found for the Marconi Osram 6X5G CV572 EZ35 rectifier valve tube. The search results exclusively cover the Harman EZ35 reusable 35mm film camera, discussing its plastic lens distortion, low-light performance issues, grainy/overexposed images, basic build, and suitability only for casual sunny-day photography—not audio tube characteristics like sound quality, rectification, or hi-fi amp reliability.
If you're seeking tube-specific feedback, common audio forums (e.g., on vintage valve rectifiers) often note equivalents like the EZ35 (a British military CV572 variant) as rugged NOS (new old stock) options with good build quality and reliability for low-voltage guitar or hi-fi amps, but praise is sparse and subjective without aggregated reviews here. Consider checking sites like Head-Fi or AudioKarma for user experiences.

The fair market price for a Marconi Osram 6X5G CV572 EZ35 rectifier valve tube is estimated at AUD 130–280 per unit, based on recent European listings for comparable ultra-rare Marconi 6X5 variants converted at current exchange rates (1 EUR ≈ 1.65 AUD, 1 GBP ≈ 1.95 AUD). Prices vary significantly by condition, with tested/usable used tubes at the lower end (AUD 130–200) and extremely rare or excellent examples at the higher end (AUD 200–280); new-old-stock (NOS) would command premiums if available, though none are listed.
Key factors affecting value include:
- Brand and rarity: Marconi Osram models like the ultra-rare double diode rectifier are priced highest (e.g., €239.95 ≈ AUD 396, but conservative adjustment for market norms).
- Condition and testing: "Tested" or "excellent" used tubes sell lower (e.g., £80 GBP for related Marconi rectifier ≈ AUD 156; £27 GBP for other Marconi ≈ AUD 53, indicating variance).
- Equivalents and variants: Listings for 6X5GT CV574 EZ35 Marconi/Fivre range €240–290 (≈ AUD 396–480), but GT subtypes and pairs inflate prices; base 6X5G/CV572 is slightly less sought after.
- Market and demand: Vintage audio/rectifier demand drives values on specialist sites; shipping, authenticity, and audio-grade testing add 10–20%. Limited recent AUD-specific data suggests stability, with no major fluctuations noted.
