Reason for Selling
Floor Stock
We have decided to put a pair of the new Moss Green finish speakers on our showroom floor, hence the reason for the sale of this Black pair. They are in excellent condition, with only a subtle black mark on the top front of the master speaker (see images), but can only be seen under the right light. These work perfectly as expected and come with full packaging.
These will come with a 12 month warranty.

User reviews and community discussions praise the KEF LS50 Wireless II as a premium all-in-one active speaker system for its exceptional sound quality, solid build, and ease of use, though it has limitations in high-volume output and large rooms.
### Sound Quality
Reviewers consistently highlight the speakers' neutral, detailed, and fatigue-free sound with a wide, deep soundstage, precise imaging, smooth midrange, refined treble, and impactful bass that exceeds expectations for their size. The Uni-Q driver delivers balanced, coherent audio across frequencies, often described as relaxing yet insightful, with excellent timbral accuracy for voices and instruments. Bass is punchy and articulate via rear ports but lacks the deepest octave without a subwoofer, performing best at moderate volumes in smaller rooms.
### Build Quality
Construction is solid and premium, featuring heatsinks for heat dissipation, touch controls, and thoughtful packaging with simple setup via app, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi. Connectivity is versatile (HDMI eARC, optical, coaxial, aux, streaming services like AirPlay/Spotify), with an intuitive app for EQ and room adjustments.
### Reliability
Discussions note occasional Wi-Fi connectivity issues and eARC glitches with non-ARC sources, but praise overall stability and ease for daily use. No widespread hardware failures are reported; protection limits extreme volumes to prevent damage.
### Strengths
- Outstanding soundstage and musical engagement for hi-fi enthusiasts in compact setups.
- All-in-one convenience with high-res streaming and DSP for bass extension.
- Versatile inputs and app control for seamless integration.
### Weaknesses
- Limited max SPL and bass depth for large rooms or loud playback; subwoofer recommended.
- Wi-Fi and HDMI quirks; high price point.
- Not ideal for disco-level volumes despite built-in safeguards.
### Overall Reputation
The LS50 Wireless II enjoys a strong reputation as a top-tier lifestyle speaker, building on the iconic LS50 legacy with advanced tech like MAT for refined performance—highly recommended for smaller spaces seeking hi-fi quality without complexity, though best paired with a sub for fuller bass.

The fair market price for a new KEF LS50 Wireless II Smart Speaker pair in AUD is approximately $4,000, with a typical range of $3,900–$4,200 based on current Australian retailer listings.
Prices reflect consistent pricing across major Australian hi-fi retailers like Indie Hi-Fi, Brisbane Hi-Fi, and Melbourne Hi-Fi, where it lists at exactly $4,000 (often as a sale or regular price), while Audio Trends shows it in stock without a specified price but implies standard retail availability. No explicit discounts or variations by finish (e.g., Carbon Black, Mineral White, Titanium Grey) appear in listings, though regional or promotional pricing could cause minor fluctuations.
For used condition, expect 20–40% lower values, typically $2,400–$3,200 AUD, depending on age, usage, and accessories (e.g., original cables, remote), as no direct user-reported or second-hand listings are available in the results—common depreciation for premium active speakers based on market norms for similar hi-fi gear.
Key factors affecting value:
- Condition: New units command full retail; used prices drop with cosmetic wear, missing parts, or lack of warranty (KEF offers 5 years on passives/2+1 on electronics when registered).
- Finish and accessories: Rare editions (e.g., Crimson Red) or bundles with KEF S2 stands/Kube subs may add $200–$500; standard finishes do not vary pricing.
- Market demand: High due to awards (What Hi-Fi? 2024 Best Speaker System) and features like Uni-Q drivers, MAT tech, and streaming (Roon, AirPlay 2, hi-res up to 24/384).
- Location/availability: Stable in Australia with warehouse stock (2–3 day dispatch); imported US/UK pricing converts higher after duties.
