Electrical Disclaimer Description

Hi everyone,

After many years of enjoying this wonderful hobby, I've decided to simplify my main listening room and head in a different direction. There is absolutely nothing wrong with any of these components—they've simply reached the point where they're not being used as much as they deserve.

I've always believed in buying equipment carefully, looking after it meticulously and keeping original packaging wherever possible. Everything has lived in a smoke-free home and has been treated with the care you'd expect from a fellow audiophile.

I'm not leaving hi-fi, in fact, far from it. I'm simply moving towards a different style of system that better suits where I am now.

Auditions are very welcome for genuine buyers, and I'm happy to answer any questions or provide additional photographs.

Thanks for looking.

Chord DAVE DAC / Preamplifier

It's difficult to know what to write about the DAVE that hasn't already been said.

For many people, this remains one of the finest DACs ever produced and has become something of a modern classic.

The detail, timing and realism it produces are simply extraordinary, yet it never sounds analytical or fatiguing. It has been the centrepiece of my digital system and has provided countless hours of musical enjoyment.

Cosmetically it presents beautifully and is in excellent condition. It will be supplied with its original packaging, remote and accessories.

I'm only selling because I'm moving in a different direction with my overall system—not because I've found anything I'd consider to be a meaningful upgrade.

Current Australian retail pricing for a new DAVE is approximately AUD $21,000.

Chord Blu MkII CD Transport

If you're already a DAVE owner, you'll know exactly why this component has such a loyal following.

The Blu MkII transforms CD replay and, when partnered with DAVE via the dual BNC connection, delivers a genuinely remarkable digital source. Even after years of ownership, it still surprises me just how good a well-recorded CD can sound.

The unit is in excellent condition and has been cared for throughout its life. Original packaging is included.

I'd naturally love it to remain with a DAVE owner, but I'm happy to sell separately if required.

Current replacement value for this level of Chord digital source is around AUD $16,000.
