I'm considering selling my Benchmark HPA4 preamp. This has been with me for around five years now and was purchased from Geoff at Hey Now Hifi. It was specifically chosen as a low impedance output preamp with excellent specs and reviews to match up with my active ATC speakers.
Since I've had the HPA4 I've also sampled a few others including a Prima Luna 400, Modwright LS36.5 and an ATC CDA2 Mk2. None of these lasted more than a few days with most only a few hours. The HPA4 always came out on top with its ease of use and accurate no nonsense sound.
Only recently shouted myself a pair of decent headphones just to see what the HPA4 could do, it didn't let me down and has provided hours of comfortable personal listening.
I'm thinking about upgrading and have only just found something that improves on the HPA4, it's taken me five years and more than double the RRP.
My pre is in excellent condition and comes with all packaging and accessories.
