Air Tight ATM-1S Amplifier in as new condition and operating perfectly.
This really is a thing of beauty both sonically and visually.
I am the second owner and understand its 4 years old and purchased locally.
Now considering moving up the Air Tight ladder, but only if this sells, otherwise I will happily continue to live with this amazing amp in rotation with my First Watt F8.
An audition to Perth locals will not disappoint.
At my asking price it comes with a lifetime of tubes-
· Original Air Tight 12AU7 x 2 and 12AX7 x 1 tubes (Premium EH).
· NOS NEC made in Japan 12AX7 x 1, made a very big upgrade to sound quality.
· NOS Hytron 5814A x 4 (12AU7 eqv)
· PSVANE Horizon EL34 one matched quad (4 tubes total)
· Matsushita (made in Japan) EL34/ 6CA7 x 2 quad’s (8 tubes total and is a massive upgrade to sound quality)
This is effectively a power amp with two volume pots and two line in’s (it is a Japanese thing), it was always used it at 50% volume with my Sugden pre-amp controlling line inputs and further volume adjustment. It outputs 36 watts.
As my speakers are high efficiency, 96dB into 10 Ohms I only ever biased the tubes to recommended minimum, they have had an easy life as has the amp during my ownership.
Hand made in Japan with some of the finest components using point-to-point wiring, check out the inside shot, it is a thing of beauty.
