Stereophile review summary by Jason Victor Serinus on previous model AMP V power amp:
Can any single review of audio equipment be definitive, given the differences in listening rooms, equipment configurations, and human sensibility? Perhaps not. Nonetheless, a few things about the AMP V are incontrovertible. It's not just a powerhouse; it's a musical instrument that produces bright colors, huge images, and seat-shaking bass. Nor does it skimp on detail. While I didn't journey into heavy metal during my time with the AMP V—Bromberg, Holst, and Shostakovich on steroids were as close as I got—the AMP V sailed through numerous ultradynamic tracks whose cumulative percussion and brass would leave many a rock fan diving for cover. The AMP V is one of the finest and most musically satisfying amplifiers ever to enter my audio system. Anyone with a spare US$50,000 (excl tax) would be foolish not to give it a serious audition.

The fair AUD market price for a new Accustic Arts AMP VI Power Amplifier is conservatively estimated at AUD 95,000–115,000, based on current USD and EUR listings converted at recent exchange rates (1 USD ≈ 1.55 AUD; 1 EUR ≈ 1.65 AUD). No used listings or user-reported prices appear in recent data, so used values cannot be reliably estimated but would typically range 20–40% lower depending on condition.

### Price Breakdown by Condition
| Condition | Estimated AUD Range | Key Listings Supporting Estimate |
|-----------|---------------------|---------------------------------|
| New | 95,000–115,000 | USD 66,990 (≈104,000 AUD); USD 68,990 (≈107,000 AUD); EUR 29,700 (≈49,000 AUD, possible regional discount or error—less authoritative) |
| Used | 60,000–90,000 (inferred) | No direct listings; based on typical high-end audio depreciation for excellent condition units (e.g., prior AMP V model at lower values) |

### Key Factors Affecting Value
- Condition: New units command full price; used prices drop significantly for wear, original packaging absence, or repairs needed—expect 20–40% discount for mint used, more for average.
- Finish/Options: Chrome/Silver or Black/Gold variants may vary by AUD 2,000–5,000; premium finishes like gold add appeal.
- Location/Market: Australian pricing aligns with USD dealers (likely imported); European listings lower but exclude shipping/duties (10–20% uplift).
- Accessories: Includes flight case (48.5 lbs); missing manuals/cables reduces value by 5–10%.
- Demand: High-power (950W/8Ω) reference amp appeals to audiophiles, stabilizing new prices; rarity boosts used premiums.

Prices reflect 2026 listings; actual sales may vary with negotiation, warranties, or economic shifts. For used, monitor Australian sites like HiFi Shark or Gumtree, as no data here.
