this is the best of bests I have owned, dead silent, u won’t hear any hiss or hum sound which are sometimes accepted as common in analog playback, the phono is dead silent which you cannot tell this is a full tube preamp, only the highest level could achieve this. put your ears close to the chassis, you hear nothing from the transformer, it is a silent world in vinyl, how could Kondo do that? I don’t know, maybe full thick copper chassis, in-house design and hand made transformer?
The dynamic and details are enormous when pairing with the right step-up transformer and low-output cartridge. You will find your system can play Orchestra records amazingly that you don’t know the system is capable. The tone is lifelike and open, vivid and joyful, you just
want to enjoy your music and leave all the buzz audiophile definition aside.
I bought from a respectable private collector who used to be Australian distributor of Kondo but retired, come with original packaging, certificates. Around 5 years old, 240v unit.
at this price, no Kondo power cord and stepup are included. Happy to demo for serious buyers,
