Description
Here I have a pair of audiophile grade floor standing 2-way speakers inspired by ProAc Response 3 and built by Audiophile in Fitzroy in the early 2000s.
The mirror image cabinets were custom built using 25mm MDF and Mountain Ash veneer for the baffle fronts.
Scan-Speak 6.5" 18W/8542 bass drivers and Scan-Speak 1" D2905/93000 textile dome tweeters arranged in D'Appolito configuration.
Bass ports are straw-stuffed as per the original design.
They have sand-filled enclosures at bases and are very heavy 45 Kgs each.
The cabinets show wear through normal use with some scratches.
They do have low profile castors at bottom that help with mobility.
These are a no grille design for optimum sound quality.
